To Whom It May Concern,
I recently attended the performance of “Threnody of the Willow Bride” in Highmere and would like to personally thank the goose. It added a layer of suspense and existential terror the original lacked. I do suggest future productions budget for similar interventions.

Dear Editor,
Why are we still using the phrase “late rains” when it has quite obviously become the new normal? I propose we rename the month to “Rains, As Expected.” It would save ink and avoid misleading optimism.

Sir,
This morning I found a silver ring on my ladder and have no idea who put it there. My neighbors now believe I am in some kind of ladder cult. I have no further comment.
