Cowardice in the Ministry

It is no exaggeration to call it theft. The so-called Socialists Book Club has siphoned millions from the Treasury’s coffers, under the pretense of “educational grants” and “literary initiatives.” What they have produced instead is little more than agitprop and accounting fraud. Yet where is the Ministry of the Interior? Where is the firm hand of governance that should have clipped this scandal in its infancy?

The answer, alas, is nowhere. The Ministry hides behind procedure, whimpering that it “lacks sufficient authority” even as funds vanish like smoke. Such cowardice is unbecoming of a state charged with defending the public purse.

The people of Eyehasseen demand accountability. Either the Ministry must act decisively to root out this parasitism, or it must make way for leaders with the courage to do so. Government is not meant to cower before clubs and pamphleteers. It is meant to defend the commonwealth from precisely such abuses.
